In addition, selected companies will be granted a “Unicorn Membership”, which comes with priority access to the city’s dedicated business space, the D-Unicorn Lounge. They will also gain opportunities to participate in global expansion and investment programs, as well as domestic and international exhibitions and investor relations (IR) events.
The “D-Unicorn Project” is Daejeon City’s flagship initiative for nurturing startups and venture companies. It targets unlisted SMEs and ventures headquartered in Daejeon that have been established for at least three years and have attracted cumulative investments of more than KRW 500 million in the past five years. This year, 41 companies applied, and 10 were ultimately selected.
