PICOPACK to Participate in Korea’s Largest Startup Event ‘NextRise 2025, Seoul’

PICOPACK Inc., a next-generation specialist in X-ray generators and detectors, announced its participation in ‘NextRise 2025, Seoul’, Korea’s largest startup event, which will be held at COEX, Seoul, from June 26 to 27.
Co-hosted by Korea Development Bank (KDB), Korea International Trade Association (KITA), and the National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST), NextRise 2025 is the country’s premier venture and startup event. The event brings together over 250 domestic and global conglomerates, mid-sized companies, and investors, along with 1,600 startups, establishing itself as a leading innovation and business platform.
This year, with Germany as the guest country of honor, the event will feature a wide array of exhibitions, conferences, and business meetups, focusing on innovation themes such as AI, Big Data, Future Manufacturing, Bio-Healthcare, and Climate Tech.
At the exhibition, PICOPACK will showcase its core product lineup, including digital X-ray generators for industrial applications (secondary batteries, precision component inspection), medical solutions (dental and diagnostic imaging), and specialized X-ray equipment for security and defense (explosives detection). The company will also present its portable medical X-ray and digital intraoral sensors.
In particular, PICOPACK will unveil the world’s first digital high-voltage X-ray generator exceeding 150kV, a breakthrough innovation that significantly reduces radiation exposure while minimizing cooling requirements. This advancement enables more compact and lightweight equipment design.
A PICOPACK representative stated, “Unlike conventional thermionic X-ray generators, we have successfully commercialized a digital cold-cathode X-ray tube using CNT (carbon nanotubes) as the electron source, securing a clear technological edge over competitors. Furthermore, we have internally developed and integrated the necessary high-voltage circuits and CMOS-based image detectors, enabling us to deliver not only individual components but also modular systems and complete turnkey solutions.”
The representative added, “By showcasing these technologies, we aim to expand collaboration opportunities with major domestic and international partners and accelerate our presence in the global diagnostic imaging market.”
